My coffee maker is on its last legs. Can anyone recommend a non-premium coffee maker that makes HOT coffee.

I was at a hotel last week with 4 cup makers that made lava but couldn't find a brand name on them. Can I get lava for 40 bucks or less?

Mister Coffee. Basic model.
Works fine, although I do prefer models that have auto shutoff. Just gives me peace of mind.

My Braun whateveryoucallit has kept up with me for 7 years now without showing any signs of dropping off. I think I might've spent more than $40 for it though, but not much more. I'm not too keen on super-hot coffee, so the temperature it's at has worked for me...

bialetti moka express

it's a stove top, so you may not be interested. i've had mine for about two years. dead simple to use, you just have to replace the gasket every few months. these are sold as "espresso" makers sometimes, but it's not really espresso - it's more like strong coffee. i think i have the four cup model? but it's more like 1.5 large cups of coffee. cost me about $35 CAD here in toronto.
