cranial-ass prisions)

In a better universe, DBT's "The Sands Of Iwo Jima" woulda been all over country radio.

Sufjan Stevens A Sun Came! is way less impressive than Seven Swans.

There is no justifiable place in this universe for my Tom Jones-ed rendition of Lisa Lisa's "All Cried Out" which I sang this morning in the shower.

One of my cats is terrified of one of my other cats and spends most days sitting on top of her scratching post to avoid touching the floor. But sometimes she sneaks down and pisses in his food dish.

Lisa Lisa was hot. Had a squeaky voice, but hot.

I think that, due to the fact that I'm a decent human being in real life, I should be allowed to guesstimate my tax return instead of filling out several forms. My guesstimate would then be submitted to the IRS, who would send me my money and a complimentary football phone.

I did however segue into The Wedding Present's "I'm Not Always So Stupid" before rinsing off, so I give myself props for that.

Like, when you're about to default on your student loans and some collection person calls to make a payment arrangement and asks you what your monthy bills are and you just make something up off the top of your head that sounds reasonable to both you and her --- that's what taxes should be like, too.

The Perishers is not a good band name.

The Bravery do not have their own identity.

My son is dancing to The Damned's "Fan Club" right now.

The old organ that my father-in-law gave the family last Christmas now has about seven keys that get stuck, further illustrating my theory that The Gods personally hate me and all physical objects go from pristine to crap after they're transferred to my ownership, even though I don't personally break them.

I think the limited space in my apartment is actually helping me from allowing my CD and DVD collections from getting TOTALLY out of control...Lord help us all, should I ever own a home with more space.

"Everything I Try To Do, Nothing Turns Out Right" is so much better emo than actual emo.

There's a pheasant in my front yard.

My wife has watched so many forensics shows in her life that she could probably kill me in a thousand different, untraceable ways. Good thing I'm such a loveable squooshy bear.

My right instep is sore like someone hit it with a small mallet.

Nobody's falling in love
Everybody here needs a shove
Nobody's getting any touch
Everybody thinks that it means too much
Nobody's coming undone
Everyone here is afraid of fun
and nobody's getting any play
It's the saddest night out in the USA

Why you teaching him to slow dance at such a young age?

I was playing it. He came into the room and started to boogie. By boogie I mean flayed around like he was having a seizure, knocked things off shelfs, fell down a couple of times and then told me he was an awesome dancer.
