I got really spoiled today by my girlfriend today for the ol' V day.

I got...

Batman animated series season 2 DVD
Curb Your Enthusiasm season 3 DVD
The Futureheads
Oh No
Oh, I also got The Ric Flair Ultimate Collection. Thats right..i'll admit it.

WOOOOOOOOH!

In return, I got her a coach purse and took her out to dinner (no doggy bag)

I just felt like posting this...for some reason.

Anyone else get spoiled??

I know, we both work tomorrow.

It was kind of a spontaneous thing

As a woman, I really don't know what the attraction to Coach purses is.

And, thanks, G, for rubbing to those who are terminally single that you get to be spoiled and we don't.

I'm sorry, I did'nt mean to brag about getting spoiled.
I really have'nt been spoiled by a girl in quite some time.

Acutally, she looked for purses for almost an hour (i wanted to kill a small child, it took so long), but in the end she found the one she wanted.

It was'nt like it HAD to be a Coch purse.

but tania, you get to spoil yourself, so you'll get anything your heart desires.

Me... well i get to cook tomorrow, which i like to do, and i brought her flowers tonight, partly to cheer her up, which didn't work, so i feel like an ass. Yeah, being alone is a bitch, but making a relationship work can be a real chore too.

Being alone on V day never really bothered me.
My girlfriend never really got into it as well.

We just decided to get nuts

Husband is working tomorrow night. Criminy.

And us being so damned broke we decided not to even bother getting anything for one another.

Though I'm not 100% against the chocolate or flowers thing.

You're right, I can spoil myself (not like I don't already!). I'll buy myself flowers later in the week when they're not so damn expensive. Maybe I'll take myself out for sushi! Mmmmm!

Normally being alone on Valentine's Day doesn't annoy me, but this year, I think it will a little.

I'll probably buy myself something.

Screw the chocolate. Blech! If I had a boyfriend and he gave me chocolate, I'd know straight away that he didn't know me.

Btw, what colour are your nails?

Trust me.....the girl likes her chocolates.

I also got her The KIllers/The Hot Snakes/Spiritualized (Amazing Grace)/TV On The Radio

This is our first Valentines Day so we thought we would blow our wad all over each other (sorry...i know that sounded....nasty)

Um, Maroon??

It's not me. I'm more of a canary person.
I think I can pull it off.

Only Beckham could pull that off, among the population of heterosexual men.

I'm getting Bloc Party (edit: Doves drop next week) today. The fact that it's Valentines is purely synchronistic.

Katie and I are doing nothing for Valentine's Day, because Valentine's Day never did anything for us.

The girlfriend and I are making dinner at her place. Didn't want to deal with reservations and whatnot. Although we both say we don't care about Valentine's Day, we end up buying each other something and spending way more money than we should but if I don't do that I'm a pig so better safe than sorry. I hate this holiday.
