Wouldn't the puke smack everyone in the face before it fell?

No, I guess not.

it's kind of like this but the swings all face the middle and it's hanging over the side of the building.

When I was 10, my family flew to LA and rented a Cadillac to drive up the PCH to San Fran. After the first 100 miles of cliffs, I was no longer impressed, so, my parents bought me a little Donkey Kong handheld game by Casio so I could sit in the car and play the game when they pulled over to look at the ocean.

At the first stop after I got Donkey Kong, the "obnerservation area" was on the ocean side of the road - just a little dirt area that sloped towards the ocean where you could park and stand on the cliff and gaze at the ocean.

My parents and sister got out of the car and I sat in the back seat. As soon as my Dad got out, he realized that simply having the car in "park" was not sufficient and the car started rolling towards the edge.

I was in the back seat and realized that I was heading over the cliff if something didn't happen quickly and I could feel the car picking up a little speed --- dad was able to jump back in the car and slam on the parking break about 10 feet from the edge.

To this day, I have a ridiculous, white-knuckle anxiety attack anytime I have to drive on a road that has an undefined edge. It affects me physically - my reaction is almost like an allergy or something because I can talk about the onset of the fear and laugh about the fact that it is happening, but, I can't do anything to stop it. . .except drive over that area again and again and again until the fear subsides.

The fear is only while driving - I have rock climbed, hiked Canyons and 14ers in the rocky mountains, skied, flown an airplane, bungee jumped, etc., but, hear me when I say that I wouldn't be able to get off the elevator if the doors openend and I saw the "X-Scream" ride. . .

your response sounds pretty normal given the story. but what's a 14er?

14,000+ foot high mountain. I hiked a couple in Colorado - I think most are named after Ivy League schools.

My office is right down the street from the Strat. I watched them hanging the structure with one of those big Sikorsky choppers this week. And yeh- fuck that.

You're definitely within puke-radius then.

I'll ride it, but only if they're gonna play that sweet little tune that goes with the website during the ride. Now you got ground-parallel puke.
