I guess I shouldn't read this being that it just started on the west coast.

Oh look, there's Stacey's former honey, Rob Thomas.

Is his head shaved? Does he look like Elijah Wood?

I forgot to watch and now I've even missed him on the West coast feed.

He'sa sort of nostalgia now.... which is really, really weird.

And the award for most irrelevant award show goes to......................................The Grammy's

This Ray Charles Rigor Mortis Hand Job is fucking killing me. What a goddamn joke. Every album nominated deserved to win more. Kanye was robbed.

although. aside from the last 45 mins or so, this was the best grammys show i can ever remember

Get ready for the Ray Oscars.

Goddamnit!!! I thought the OutKast award meant the Grammy's were turning it around. Guess not. I am going to steal some music! Hey RIAA the payback is muthafucka.

I just saw Loretta win I think her 1st grammy. It was pretty cool to see her feel honored to win yet Jack White was a "southern" gentleman in total deference and wonder to be a part of Loretta's history. Very genuine. Very cool. And by no means am I some huge Whites Stripes fan or anything. Just a short authentic moment.

I seriously thought Gretchen Wilson was gonna take it. Normally I don't give a shit about the Grammys, but I'm happy that Loretta was recognized
by her peers. That's all.

I respect the hell out of Ray, but there's only a handful of songs on Genuis Loves Company that are actually good and the rest are treacly gooey-goo. It isn't a bad album, but it's not deserving of awards. It's way too saccarhine. People will buy it and wonder what the hell the big deal was about Ray. Sad, because he was a big deal. If that's all the Ray anyone hears it'll be like judging Frank Sinatra for his duets album or judging Quincy Jones only by that album with the Janet Jackson song on it. Or thinking Louis Armstrong is just that "Wonderful World" guy.

I hear you on this. I heard Genius Loves Company when it came out and was underwhelmed to say the least. It sucks because now that it won it'll probaby sell another 5-6 hundred thousand copies or something when people should just go buy a real Ray Charles record. That record will do better than any real record Ray put out in any decade. Sad.

Not sure how the royalties for that record are structured but hopefully most of it will go to the Ray Charles estate. Who am I kidding though, the record company will probably get most of it.

When Bart started rapping on the Simpsons, I turned over to the Grammys. There, I find a trio of mexicans singing some sad, pop stuff. My mom pointed out it was Los Lonely Boys. "They play them on the horrible easy rock station at my work." So, dejectedly, I went back to watching the horrible Simpsons.

I turned back again at commercials to find Jennifer Lopez singing in another language. Jennifer Lopez. Now there's a real relevant singer. Turn back again and it's Queen Latifah singing. One last time and it's some tribute to southern rock. Eww.

It's like somehow they found a way to take every aspect of music I don't like and fit it into one show. And I still don't understand why people give a shit about U2 or Green Day anymore. U2 are half the band they were ten, twenty years ago. And Green Day hasn't gotten any worse, they're just treading the same water.
