Actually... in all honesty, if I can get my act together (litterally) quickly enough, I'm going to give him a song I wrote for him.

Normally being alone on Valentine's Day doesn't annoy me, but this year, I think it will a little.

I'll probably buy myself something.

Same here - but at least I could tell it was going to get to me this year. Therefore, taking the day off work to pay a bill or 2, then heading to the gym (despite the fact that I'm sore from playing kickball all day yesterday) sounds like a good mind-avoidance technique for me...

The plan for this evening is not leaving my room and some generalized avoidance...

That is all..

So you're saying you'll be my internet Valentine? Awesome.

I have to vacate Redlans, cuz ol Bloor is cooking dinner for him and the lady. Usually wouldn't be a problem, but I'm so goddamned tired from this weekend, all I want to do is monger on the couch. I'll probably go to a bar or maybe a movie, just to waste some time.

We once had that multi-colored dog toy. It's gone now, but our collie dragged it around until all the stuffing had disappeared.

seamus' favorite toy since he was a pup. it's the only one he won't destroy. he flips it over, puts it's ass in his mouth, and sucks on it like a pacifier. no joke, it's the wierdest dog habit i've ever seen. the ducks ass is totally molded to his mouth. he's done this for the last 3 1/2 years. we have to replace them every 6 or so months because they start to smell really bad.

not quite sure what this has to do with valentine's day.

where am i again?

It's my fault. I posted the dog toys as the sole present I bought for Valentine's Day. The dogs are very happy with them, and after 2 days, have yet to destroy them. The first time I heard Bean chewing on the hedgehog and I wasn't in the room, I thought he was either choking or farting. It will be a new sound to get used to around the house!

As for me and hubby, a steak dinner tonight with mashed potatoes, spinach salad and champagne at home.... then next Monday, we take a sushi-making class together.

I got my GF:

Black Coach Purse
Matt Pond PA cd
Dozen Roses sent to her work
Chocolates
Rubber ducks
Small Photo Album

She got me:
Not sure yet. Still at work.

Making Ribeye's and crab at home tonight. She picked me up a couple bottles of Elysian Porters. Should be fun. I think i'll end up having to watch Medium with her tonight.

recently returned from an all too short valentine soiree in nyc this weekend. fun, food, romance AND she watched most of the duke/maryland game with me. THAT (and fabulous lingerie) is love.

tonight it's thai food and candy with the kids.
i could not be a happier person.

I sent a dozen orange roses to my wife's clinic.

She sees patients in a community care clinic that serves under-insured and uninsured people. She told me it was embarassing to get roses in front of people who rely on her clinic for free meds, and can't afford health care.

So ... I feel stupid, and she feels embarassed.

How I love valentine's day.

sigh....

Mickey LOVES LOVES his hedgehog! Squeak squeak! All you need to do is ask for his squeaky and he runs to get it. Of course, the hedgehog is now missing his little arms, but Mickey doesn't seem to mind.

I bought the same hedgehog for a Scottish friend's dog, Ben. Ben absolutely loves his "Mr. Hedgehog" too and instantly became his favourite toy.

Good call on the Coach bag, dude. I would have gotten her a pair of Prada pumps, but it's the thought that counts, right?
