Should I pay $10 to see Sleepytime Gorilla Museum? I have heard of them, but not any of thier music. I just like saying thier name. Sleepytime gorilla museum... Anyway, you guys (and gals) are ussually right on the money when it comes to the down low on bands. Are they worth the ten bucks on a Sunday night and gotta get up early for work on Monday, or should I skip this one? Thanks ~Mike

i suppose it all depends on how open-minded you are. they're pretty out there. and that's an understatement. i'd advise you to listen to the music on their site, or at least give a listen to some clips if you are typically hard to please (like me)(i hate concerts.) i've never seen them but i've never heard a bad thing about their live performances, and most people leave completely amazed by the experience

God no! I'm pretty open-minded musically, but STGM are pretentious industrial-classical-prog-core crap. It's theatre for the living in Mom's basement set. Saw them at Tonic last winter.

I was far from "amazed" by their peformance. I found it overly-contrived and extremely boring.

I'd give you an enormous thumbs up if I didn't think they're music was absolutely ridiculous. Oh, and also if I didn't think that their name was just some random adjoining of words.

i saw them open for the dresden dolls and i thought they sucked but my friend thinks they're great--but he always laughs when he says it so i suspect it's it's the theatricallity (i just made a new word) rather than talent.

i'm just sayin'. . .
