I'd love to but I'm still away from my laptop (IE, music machine)... I can try to get it up tomorrow sometime. I still owe some folks the new Books as well.

It is available through Oink if you just can't wait!

I'm pretty sure he was an original member of the Vibrators.

This could be good. I really liked their debut (House Of Love) but thought their follow-up (House Of Love) was a tad too subdued. It'd also be nice if they titled this new album something original like (oh, off the top of my head) House Of Love.

I'm not sure it's out anywhere yet... I nabbed an advance copy a week ago on Oink.

How awesome is that website, BTW?

This and the new Wedding Present are the only things I'm anticipating in '05 so far.

On second thought, I'm holding my breath for the new Chills ep, which should be showing up in about a week.

And maybe they'll finally release the Sensational Alex Harvey Band tribute/collaboration that's been in the works for two years now.

And the Fleshtones should have a new album out in the summer, so '05 shouldn't be that bad.

I was so looking forward to new House of Love but it’s bad. Got it about 3 weeks ago on slsk and haven’t played it again.

Wedding Present leaves something to be desired also. I have had this one for about 6 weeks on slsk again but left me cold.

I was hoping for so much more…

I'm going to have to listen to it again, though I was still expecting more from House Of Love:

The March edition of MOJO magazine has a 3 out of 5 star review of the bands new album on page 106. Q magazine has also given the album 3 out of 5 stars this month and UNCUT 4 out of 5. The title track also appears on this months UNCUT cover mounted free CD.

Just cuz others give it a high review doesn't mean you have to like it.

Yup!

I think "A Spy In The House Of Love" holds up to the self-titled on Creation, it's easily the best of the Fontana releases, although each have their moments of splendor. They put Ride, Oasis, James, Suede, and the rest of the "Britpop" scene to shame.

True, but left me so cold that at least I will give it another try based on this. one listen is never enough.

I really like this. It has a hint of James' - Laid on it.
