Just watched. I think it may move into #1 on my top movies of 2004 liszt. JUst really brilliant. Made me feel like a bit of sellout/I am not doing anything with my life. Rent this movie yesterday if you haven't seen it yet.

Next up in the cue:

1. Ray
2. Happenstance

Shut up you fucking commie sympathizer. Che did something with his life, for sure. He died like a dog on his knees with his hands cut off in a godforsaken Bolivian hellhole. Glamorize that, pinko.

i absolutely loved this movie, if for nothing else than the gorgeous shots and the south american scenery. i've been to a lot of the places shown, and it was very cool to see them framed so beautifully and through a different perspective.

and it's a beautiful story as well. loved it.

Burned! I actually think this is a great movie, but only because it stops at a certain point in his life. I have since seen Ray,which I would say is arguabley better, and The Aviator, which is pretty stellar, too.

Just finished watching this about 10 minutes ago and overall I really enjoyed it. After seeing this I think to myself how much I really, really want to visit South America, especially Macchu Picchu! I don't know much at all about Che and after hearing about this movie I figured this movie would enlighten me a little about his life. Well, it didn't. Not that this is a bad thing, but it's just I expected to learn something about him from it. I'll stop assuming things now based on trailers...

Highly recommended though because as someone mentioned the story is solid, as are the scenic shots.

Ha, I just finished watching it about 15 minutes ago myself. Visually a great movie and very interesting if you wanted to know where the seeds of Che's idealism and socialism were planted.

Great movie, although I wish they hadn't glossed over Che's pseudo-racist comments in the original book. One of the best parts of the original was the glimpse of Che before he was an icon, ridiculous prejudices intact, and subsequently (towards the end of the book) starting to grow out of those views. Not to say it's rampant bigotry or anything, but his perspective at that point was less .. informed.
