I'm going to Criminal Records this afternoon and will be picking this up. I am excited. Right now I am listening to Sportscenter piped in from the living room

Boyo, I've played this one alot. It's a side-project of the lead guy from the Appleseed Cast, Chris Crisci. But instead of the indie-prog dreamscapes that band excels at, this is acoustic folk-rock with nods to bluegrass and avant-pop and many other music forms, but surprisingly unique and hard to describe. Comes out sounding a bit like something from Neutral Milk Hotel's classic In The Aeroplane Over The Sea, except with the slightly less urgent voice of Crisci telling the stories and with more banjo. The more I play it, the more I like it. Really a fine album. Pretty sure it's gonna be in my top few albums at year end time because it sure is now. Maybe suffers a bit toward the end because of a sameness that underlies some of the songs, but the highlights make me mostly forget that.
