They come from ignorant dumbasses who think its okay to:

- surfi tranny porn sites and installing every active x that comes up

- turn off their firewall (it slows down my pc!)

- turn off their anti virus software (it slows down my pc!)

- open every email attachment they recieve, especially when the sender is 'teencutie69andtakesituptheass'

- ignore me every time I fix their pc and tell them not to do this stuff anymore

I'm really starting to hate this bs. I've got a pc here with the nastiest rootkit I've ever tried to remove. It was coated with viruses and trojans and I just wiped and reinstalled everything a year ago.

I'll fix it, but I'm really tempted to zap all of the fucker's data files.

This is not the first pc I've seen like this in the past couple of months. People who I've talked to about safe computing. People I've lectured about safe computing. People who have just gotten used to calling me every time their pc start popping up random websites when they aren't using it.

I'm really tempted to give these people linux. I use ubuntu and love it. But this dumbass has bought 700 songs from itunes, and linux doesn't do DRM.

The current fiasco comes from a pc belonging to the 20 year old son of a woman who I do pc work for in exchange for acupuncture.

She hasn't billed me in 3 years, so I get the better end of this deal by far. I'm really ready to bring her in while I read her son the riot act though.

Its going to come with a warning that I won't be restoring his data next time.

Also, to be fair, some malicious computer geek had to create that virus in the first place.

But what do I know, I have an old piece of crap computer and I haven't had a firewall or an antivirus on it in a couple years. I don't know why I stopped, but I haven't really had any trouble yet. Maybe I secretly want my computer to crash so I'll have to go buy a new one or something. It's like driving an old piece of shit car and not wanting to get your oil changed because you don't want to put any more effort/money into it.

Don't get me wrong. I'd love to see all of the purveyors of malware, trojans, spyware and viruses lined up against a wall and shot.
