Off The Bone is about the best comp there is. Psychedelic Jungle used to be available with Gravest Hits on one disc. Songs The Lord Taught Us made my Listmania. Date With Elvis is decent, but they came back much stronger with Stay Sick.

There's also the 'Bad Music For Bad People' compilation of some of their early material.

I'd say the best place to start is with 'Songs The Lord Taught Us' which also made my Listmania.

Best place to start with the Cramps:

It's their debut ep along with their 2nd full-length Psychedelic Jungle. If you like 'em then dive in and pick up Songs The Lord Taught Us and Bad Music For Bad People. After those first handful of discs the band dramatically changed direction, dropping the scuzzy horror flick sleaze and concentrating exclusively on cheap sexual innuendo. The best of their latterday albums are probably Date With Elvis or Stay Sick, and after that they're all pretty much interchangable.

Sightly interesting, sorta ironic trivia: The Cramps used Karen Carpenter's high hat during the recording of "Don't Eat Stuff Off The Sidewalk."
