-OR- does anyone have any info on where i could purchase
pedrolira by a french band called holden?

my wife was watching a french film on the sundance channel last night (work hard play hard) and i came down just in time to catch a scene where they were in a club and this band was playing. they sounded very stereolab/air/luna - ish. anyways, after some innernerd research this morning, i've found out that the band was holden. i can't find any english websites on these guys, and amazon.fr is the only place i can find to buy it.

so, i guess what i'm asking for here is a) does anyone know anything about these guys? and b) does anyone have any experience with ordering from amazon.fr...good or bad?

I can't imagine it's any better/worse than regular Amazon. Just be careful about shipping charges.

I've bought stuff from the UK Amazon, but not France. No problems at all - & from what Borg sez I think you'd be fine.

Here's a link to a currency converter, if you wanna know what this will cost ya :

Yep. My heyday of buying stuff from the UK was 3-4 years ago, & back then you could assume 1 pound = $1.40 ( roughly ) . Now it's about $2.

It's worse -- 100$US equal 76 Euro.

And -- 100$US equal 123$CA. The Canadian dollar is nigh at parity with the American. Shit is getting hectic.

And, remember to pay your dancer at the all-nude revues in Toronto and Montreal accordingly.

There's a few CD's & DVD's I've tracked down that only Amazon France has. I might order the CD's, I can wait on the DVD's since I have a region 1 player anyways & I'm not sure I'd get English subtitles. Chinese & Japanese you can count on English subs and my buddy said any country but France.
