Apparently what was funny for 40 + years is deemed no longer cool by today's kids.

Are you kidding me?

That new 'Bugs' is a joke, and I hope it fails miserably!

it's not like they're replacing him from all the old ones. it's a new show with new characters. don't turn into the comic dorks that flip out everytime someone imagines a new storyline with their beloved characters (except for that Elektra movie, that faux-lesbain kiss was a welcome addition to the lore).

Just sounds like Tiny Toons for kids who play GTA.

Warner hasn't shown the ability to match the genius of the original Looney Tunes since the studio that made them closed in the mid-'60s. They've been doing crap like this ever since.

Tiny Toons had moments of brilliance. But the best parts were mimicry or adaptation of the original.

[Poochie]They've made Bugs about 40 % more proactive.[Poochie]

True...But if they are calling him Bugs Bunny, then they are changing the old character. According to the article, the creators feel that the vntage Bugs is not relate-able(sp?) to todays kids...

I know they arent gonna go in the rachives and redraw all the old cartoons....

But, im sorry, but im against the idea, of the 6 year old kid today, thinking that this travesty is Bugs Bunny....

and agreed on the lesbian kiss.

Why not, just give this character a new name...then..

In Tiny Toons, it was obvious that Buster Bunny was suppose to be Bugs Bunny as a youth, even though they portrayed him as a nephew.....

why cant this new Bugs be, like Bugs Bunny the 12th or something goofy like that?

Im super hungry, and thats probably leading to my edginess right now...

honestly, i dont care nearly this much!

They had this brilliant cartoon variation of "Whose on first?" with bands from Woodstock (eg The Band, The Who, etc). That was a great cartoon when I was in like 4th grade or something.

the fucking article Wrote:
He said the characters' superpowers have not yet been finalized. And neither have their names, although they are expected to have names close to those of their ancestors (think Buzz Bunny).

"This is a kids show intended for kids today who are growing up in the Internet age, an age of technology, an age of hip, cool animation, and something that we hope will resonate with that age group,"

Animated shows look like fucking shit today.

Hey if these cartoons aen;t funny to kids today then so be it. Just stop making them. Create new shows not bastardization on old ones.

This can't really be much worse than that Duck Dodgers cartoon on Cartoon Network. Has anyone seen that? They use the characters in more or less their classic drawing style and have made a horrible, horrible show out of the premise of one '40s Chuck Jones short.

But, yeah, Mel Blanc pretty much was those characters, and nothing done without him could ever really measure up. It was a one-time phenomenon.

That's the easy thing to do, but it's still fucking depressing/annoying/a bunch of Booolshit.

Animaniacs, which as a whole was the best post-Blanc cartoon in WB's catalogue.
