What's the Rumble?
Is it a caged wrestling match? That would be cool.

I am partial to the old old old move by this ancient pro wrestler. I think he had a German Soldier type name.

He used a punishing move called "The Claw"

It looked like a James Bond type move.
1. Hold your right wrist with your left hand.
2. Make your right hand into the shape of a formidable Claw.
3. Attach to your opponent and SQUEEZE!

BTW...

Did you play that show with the Zutons on the 5th of Feb?
How were they to you, cool?

Baron Von Raschke. My brother used to "slap it on" me all the time. That shit hurts. Also, that "lion tmaer" is the fucking BOSTON CRAB, bitches, and therefor KPH, that should be your finishing move.

Dude, I'm just copying it from a page. I'm not a grown man who watches wrestling. :roll: They're like soap operas for man-bitches.

I wasn't garring YOU out shiv. I was just pointing it out. I don't still follow wrestling, but from say 1986 until 1992, I pretty much lived and breathed it.

You on the other hand = GAR in the truest sense of the word.

So, to summarize:

Shiv = Doesn't watch wrestling
Chase = Gar
Me = Qual

man, a wrestling mega thread.

FINALLY!

the Zutons were really swell. the girl wouldn't have anything to do with anyone, but the rest of the group were actually pretty cordial and seemingly interested in talking with us. it was interesting to hear so much discussion about moving units in such a short amount of time. they all seemed to have fairly up-to-the-minute sales reports about their album, etc. i don't know if i could handle that myself.

anyhow. yep. rumble. it's this battle of the bands thing in boston...dresden dolls won it 2 years ago, bleu before that (?), etc. basically, good exposure and potentially very good exposure...but very much not the kind of thing we take seriously.

This thread made me wish wrestling didn't suck anymore. Or at least that a wrestling video game that doesn't suck would come out.

When that first Royal Rumble came out for Nintendo 64, me and my boy Scotty D would wake up, smoke a fat blunt, crack some 40s and just gank the fuck out of people. Nothing like two dudes hitting another over the head with a chair for 45 minutes.

Now that I have a new computer with DSL service (*beaming smile*), I need to check out the musical stylings of The Bon Savants.

I don't think anything has been "officially" announced yet. I searched around but couldn't find anything.

yeah, i don't know when the official line-ups get announced. it'll be held at the Middle East Upstairs and Downstairs venues in the first 2-3 weeks of April (it got moved up from May).

i think our pals Emergency Music and Night Rally might be in it as well, but i'm not too sure.
