i'm here on my bachelor party, doing some fishing, drinking beer.

i'm staying at a friend's house who lives in chicago. the weather in chicago today was apparently cold and snowing. it is 75 and blue skies here.

ain't much to do here (although the beer is cold), but, i think the weather would keep me here if i had a house here. . .

How about you start another thread about a sunny vacation in the Keys so I can have something to read while avoiding the 22° air banging on my back window?

Stayed in the Keys two years ago. Suckiest vacation ever. It was in the teens, no snow in Chicago today.

Know what you need for a trip to the Keys?

A little Bertie Fuckin' Higgins, that's what!

Wrapped around each other
Trying so hard to stay warm
That first cold winter together
Lying in each others arms
Watching those old movies
Falling in love so desperately
Honey, I was your hero
And you were my leading lady

We had it all
Just like Bogie and Bacall
Starring in our old late, late show

Sailing away to Key Largo

Here's lookin' at you kid
Missing all the things we did
We can find it once again, I know
Just like they did in Key Largo

Honey, can't you remember
We played all the parts
That sweet scene of surrender
When you gave me your heart
Please say you will
Play it again
'Cause I love you still
Baby, this can't be the end

We had it all
(We had it all)
Just like Bogie and Bacall
Starring in our old late, late show

Sailing away to Key Largo

Here's lookin' at you kid
(Here's lookin' at you kid)
Missing all the things we did
We can find it once again, I know
Just like they did in Key Largo

We had it all
(We had it all)
Just like Bogie and Bacall

Sailing away to Key Largo

That is just all sorts of wrong. Not as wrong as the Pina Colada Song, but wrong nonetheless.

The Keys do rule. check out Hemingway's house, and then get a drink where the squeeze the juice right in front of you. Then get another. then get another. Then get another. then get one of those old ass Cubanos to roll you a cigar...or get 'em to roll you a righteous blizunt. Then go get more of them drinks.

We did that, and had we stayed in Key West rather than Chica, it would've been much better. It was pretty cool to see the first Pan Am office, RIP, though. Costa Rica, Hawaii, and Mexico are much much better.
