Don't let Spontaneous Post see this thread, she may send the Cap'n on his own bus careening down an abyss.
It kind of rolls off like water on the back of a duck. Still, would you really group Rob with Fred Durst? Because if that's a obvious thing, I've less a grasp on what Rob Thomas means than I thought. hehe
But, if this is the case, you could just have Kix drop the bomb on NoFla, since the implication of the Cap'n's posting is that the bottom-feeders of late-nineties pop and rock arose from Orlando and Jacksonville (Matchbox 20, Limp Bizkit, Backstreet Boys, N*SYNCH, O*Town, Less than Jake, Collective Soul (from GA, but broken on Orlando radio)). But, sure, if we dropped the bomb on the area, we'd stand a good chance of losing Tom Petty (if he still lives in that part), Hot Water Music, and Stevie Franchise, but none of those is so great that we couldn't take the hit if it also meant losing the latest strain of boy-bands (and their master, Lou Perlman), bad emo (Fuelled by Ramen, and its ownership, the bad ska-punk LTJ), and frat-rock and wuss-rock-by-which-to-get-your-girl-in-the-mood-for-sex.
You dig?
