Given the name of the band I couldn't search the obner very well.
I saw this band open for Modest Mouse last night and I loved it.

They kind of sounded like Tom Waits and Blood Brothers were making a baby while watching 2girls1cup-but in a good way.

Anyone else have thoughts on Man Man?

I have Six Demon Bag. I've only had it briefly, and listened to it 2 or 3 times. It's enjoyable, but in a novelty kind of way. Kind of sounds like Rob Zombie, Gogol Bordello and The Fiery Furnaces living in a commune.

Amazing live, great on record.

I tried pimping this band pretty hard last year.

Six Demon Bag was a fun listen, I still listen to some songs off it pretty often.

yeah, i thought they were a bit of a gimmick. listening to them gives me the feeling that they'd wear you down over a headlining set.

six demon bag was one of the best records released last year (in a much stronger year than this one), and this band's live show is unique among current touring acts. i've seen them headline medium size venues and blow the roof of here in nyc, definitely see them again when they're back on their own. (which is likely early next year, as they're releasing a new record in the spring, and they tour incessantly)

The song "Werewolf on the Hood of my Heartbreak" is great -- the rest is near unlistenable dreck.

That's funny. That song isn't really dissimilar to the rest of their songs.

Maybe its because I heard it in the context of a mix first, and then when I listened to the whole album, it all sounded like a same-y, jumbled mess.

Maybe the songs are all good in short doses?

Listening to them on cd on my way to work this morning I thought...I wouldn't get into this if I hadn't witnessed it

absolutely go. I've been trying to convince everyone of this for 3 years.

I've seen them a bunch of times and every time has been incredible. If you're not in the mood for a very frantic show, I wouldn't recommend it. Very high energy, and the audience tends to get insane. At least they do in Philly. Probably one of my favorite live bands I've ever seen.

Played the shit out of "Man In A Blue Turban With A Face", which I think is superior as a debut to the followup.

Never had the fortune of seeing them live.

That first track / intro sounds like Mexican Power Authority.
