You know, the drumming on this new Bloc Party album is really outstanding.

Just wanted to say that.

m83 remix is pretty good it adds m83's sense of melodrama and sounds more like Dead Cities... then the new one
the mogwai remix is pretty good too but the four tet remix is boring and adds nothing to the original

The mogwai one sounds really cool (only one I've heard so far)...
Can't wait to hear the album...

it was pretty cool, it was at this floating rock party, they did like a 40 minute set. lots of dancing, everyone there was pretty jazzed about it.

BOO WESTSIDE! :D

I have class Tues. nights so no Troub for me, and Doves are playing on Monday night, whom I rather see, then drive all the way to Pomona for the other show Bloc Party is playing at.

Let me just say that, last semester, loyalty towards the one Class I was taking cost me my ticket to see Arcade Fire @ Spaceland and, since I'll probably never get to see them at a decent-sized place (if at all), I've regretted it ever since...

I'm listening to Bloc Party for the first time tonight and I have to say if you plotted 'actual talent' against 'NME Hype' this just might be the worst album of all time.

Of course I might like it better on my fourth listen, but right now I can't see anything there at all to warrant the supposed 'excitement' about this band.
