I'm confused. So the Dolphins and Falcons are going to be #1 and #2 respectively. What I don't understand is why the Dolphins need a RB. They just drafted Ronnie Brown, what, like #3 overall in '05? I would be surprised if they drafted another RB that high again so soon.

with the #1 pick, you take the best player, regardless of your needs. that or trade down.

I want Jason Taylor emulate Lawrence Taylor & make Brady into Theismann.

I also want Wes Welker, White Speed Receiver to spontaneous combust.

Last, I want Larry Izzo to be chopped into cutlets by Ray Lewis, then barbecued, then eaten by Warren Sapp.

yeah, thisother, I wasn't necessarily saying they were going to be 1 and 2, or that the Fins would take McFadden, but just that it would by typical Falcons luck to have a horribly shitty season and then lose one of the best players in the draft because they weren't shitty enough.

Besides, there are still a couple games left. I'm sure the Falcs will fuck up even more and win a meaningless game thereby pushing even further away from a good draft pick.

The Texans seem to have shifted that paradigm. Remember when everyone ridiculed them for passing on Bush and VY to take Mario Williams? Yeah, not so much anymore.

Cowboys trade both #1s and probably another pick and maybe a player to Dolphins for #1 overall pick...

Oh, although now that Parcells is there, that probably wont be a possibility.

Actually...

Word is that Parcells wants Fasano, Carpenter, Glenn and both Cowboys #1 picks this year in exchange for the Dolphins #1.

Miami's needs are too great to be solved with a single pick. Ergo, next year the Cowboys will have both MB3 and Darren McFadden in their backfield!

A man can dream, can't he?

Dear Santa,

I want a single season TD pass record and another super bowl ring. Oh ya, please give my friend Randy a single season TD reception record as well.

America's Quarterback,

Tom Brady

Do you really think the Cowboys would make that trade? They don't really need a #1 pick. Fasano is useful, and I think I'd rather have 2 low 1st round picks than 1 top pick.

Also, there is a decent chance that the Eagles could end up 8-8 and be the only team in the NFC East to not make the playoffs. If McNabb carries on into next year like he's been playing the past 2 games, the East is going to be a bitch next year.

Edit: If they keep McNabb that is.

Absofuckinglutely!

Jerry Jones has a hard on for quality Razorback players to begin with, and McFadden is WAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY better than Adrian Peterson. And yes, I mean the Vikings one.

Fuck that, & fuck Michael Hunt. (Though, I really should start referring to him as Mike.) Idiot sports columnist for the local pape wrote Thursday that it's time for the Dolphins '72 to get off their high-horse. He even called them "insufferable".

Now, how exactly does he expect the MASSholes to differ when/if the Pats complete a perfect (regular) season?

Personally, I'd like Bill Belichick, Dreamboat, Josh Beckett, & Doug Flutie to get lost in Liberty City, late one nite... They wouldn't make it out alive.

(Why Flutie? Boston College-Miami '84.)

Boston needs to stop fucking Miami. Yesterday.

If Tom Coughlin is really the hard-ass, smash-mouth, throw-back gridiron coach that everybody seems to think he is -- & more importantly, that he proclaims -- then he'll do his damnedest to call a game that will let the Giants win. Fuck resting the starters with the playoffs secured. Fuck it in the ass. The New York FOOTBALL Giants can go down in history as the team to save America (that means you, too, Mexico & Canada) from a thirty-years smug cloud, the worst atmospheric disturbance since the Pinatubo eruption, but worse than that by a magnitude of 1.000.000.

No shit. But he's an hard-ass, so the football pundits on cable & team officials, who are generally, still, stodgy white men in their fifties, or older, love him, & think he has what it takes.
