GIANTS 14, Patriots 10.

Looks like NYG might be able to run with the Pats... Unlike the Iggles & Ravs, who put the most scare into the cold, black hearts of Massachusetts. Oh, did I say black? I mean, dark. Everybody knows MASSholes hate ####.

No shit. But he's an hard-ass, so the football pundits on cable & team officials, who are generally, still, stodgy white men in their fifties, or older, love him, & think he has what it takes.

i'm not familiar with people saying good things about him, maybe i block it out.

Notre Dame would have taken Couglin over Charlie Weis, for one. & remember, this would have been before CW became more of a joke than 911, back when he was the genius protogee of the Crummy Croat, with three Super Bowl rings to his hand. (At least three, forget if he got at least one with the Giants, when on Parcells's staff.)

They did it despite a full-out season long Montague attack. He played well and almost pulled off a few upsets.

It was an awful game. I hope all of New England chokes on Tom Brady's disease-ridden cock.

So long as Brady keeps it in his strap he can have all the diseases he wants.

Does the 16-0 record mean that Brady and Moss get to catch 1 free body, or do they have to win the SB as well? Do the TD passing and receiving records means they get another?

(If Simmons had any heart, this would be the OJ Simpson corollary, in which a Heisman Trophy and/or significant record gains you the right to murder someone)

I say the TD records definitely qualify, but they gotta win the Super Bowl too for the 16-0 season to qualify.

do you think that Jerry Rice and JoMo ever used their body credits? If not, can they sell them?

does it bother Pats fans that they couldnt stop the run tonight, nor could they really run themselves? the G-men abandoned the ground game in the second half (not sure why), but Jacobs was a beast for the most part.

were we watching the same game? they effectively took jacobs out of the game in the first half. he ran well in the 2nd half, but only because the pats had already adjusted to all of the pass playcalling.

and maroney ran very well. i guess you weren't impressed by his 6 yard td and his 2 point conversion? they were confident enough to give him the ball in crucial situations and he succeeded.

i think you must play too much madden. a good running game doesn't mean you are ripping off 10 yarders all day.

just checked some numbers. jacobs went for 67 yards. that is indicative of bad run defense?

NE had the middle stuffed all game, but seemed weak on the outside. I'd hardly say the Pats were weak against the run, but they were not dominant.

The real strength of the Patriots, I think, is their ability to play an entire game without making dumb mistakes. Really, that Eli interception is what lost the Giants the game, and I never see Brady or the NE offense make that kind of error.

i don't think you can say that the pick was the difference. the pats are +19 or something on turnovers and eli is a pick and fumble machine. to get out of that game with 1 turnover was the one thing about the giants that impressed me.

Also, as a Pats fan I'm not bothered much by wins.

Havn't been on the internet since about last nite's halftime, but, yes, I saw the end-game. I'm still holding on for a superman, though, to take down this team. The (other) Mighty MJD & Jax might have the next (best) shot, in the playoffs.

I mean, the linebacking core/corps has already looked slowed by age, but against Jones-Drew, Bruschi & Seau will just look... old.
