I return home to find this on my screen:

Quote:
[21:17] <timmyjoe42> it's good to see tania sharing something :P
[21:17] <backspace> she's crankin
[21:17] <g> yeah, being useful!
[21:17] <backspace> she said 2 gigs by may!

Talking about me behind my back!! I see how it is, buncha punks! Pffffft!

Btw, I had forgotten I had a show tonight -- Secret Machines / Moving Units / Autolux. Sticking around the DC++ community, I remembered as I was about to run errands, made a quick u-turn, grabbed my ticket and barely made it on time. Whew!

Ohhh, and you just watch, my MP3 collection is gonna grow -- you just wait!

Btw, no need to spare my feelings regarding K'stone. I'd like honest opinions.

We have been waiting.
I just think it was funny that you were sharing 50mb, then 40 mb, then 30mb. The number was going down every day.

The problem was that I didn't know that everytime I added something, I had to include it in my share list. I found this out yesterday when Max told me he could only see one folder.

Be gentle with me, I'm a newbie. :(

I want to hear that after reading FT's review.

Why aren't you on this thing FT, our Clever Cactus leader?

So you're listing all your share folders individually? Having a general share folder might save you some time and effort...

<--- is all about '/refresh'

Yea, I have my share folder set up thusly:

I share the folder C:\MP3

Then, everything I rip just gets put inside this folder:

C:\MP3\The_GooGooDolls\

That way, I don't have to manually share each new album I rip...

Does that make sense?

I think I have it, I'll check when I get home.

Yea, FT is AWOL on DC++, and DC++ > CC, which is DOD anyway...

I've got it... I should be on tonight.

BTW, how the hell do you chat on the general board? I can only seem to private message. I'm on that crappy Direct Connect program for Mac. I think back_space has it figured out. Help a brother out!

Only six inches expected today... whoopee!

(I expect Monty is going to turn the above sentence into some dirty prison comment, but no matter... he does that with everything.)

It took me a while to figure it out as well. I think its called, "looking right past it".
There is an long empty box along the bottom of the DC window. The main window, where you see the chat happening. The window is only one line of text tall.

Just click your mouse in that bottom window and type to your heart's content.)

My mp3s are on my external hard drive at work, but I can't get through the work firewall to get on DC++. I can get on DC++ at home, but my laptop doesn't have enough space to store many mp3s, so everytime I log on from home I feel like I'm leeching. It's really quite the connundrum. I've resorted to YSI as a stop-gap, and it has proven quite useful.

You should still be able to connect in passive mode, which means you'd be able to connect with anyone in active mode - which are all the important people, anyway.
