before i read this, how much spoiling can there really be? we know what happens immediately before this point in the story and immediately after, right?

It's more of a whole movie storyline, chase. Lots of pictures. Some of them I had seen, and I'm not a hardcore SW dork. Some stuff I hadn't seen, or knew would happen but not how (e.g. Mace Windu).

Ah, that makes more sense.

Upon further review, it's about 80 pictures.

This looks like the worst one yet. Has anyone ever blown potential like Lucas did with these three pieces of shit?

The real spoiler will be the movie itself.

Maybe Alexander the Great's sons?

Naw, actually this one looks like the best one of the three. All neutral accounts say that this one is miles ahead of the first two prequels, and probably better than Jedi.

I was thinking Brian Taylor, or every Braves team, post 1995, or Guns N' Roses...but ithink Lucas trumps all of them.

The funny thing is, with all of his ILM genius, these still don't even LOOK good, nor is the plot entirely intelligible/jive with the first three. ARRRGH!!

Since you already know that III is going to be a piece of shit, why not just stay home? I'm so sick of people whining about the prequels and then going out and supporting them anyway

Did I say I was going to go see it? I am actually thinking I will stay home for this one. I know little kids who don't even like these, that's how fucking sad this shit is.

good for you, I hope you do, because if you go see it that is pretty sad with the way that you feel. I'm happy to see someone actually taking a stand, for once.

btw, III will be a good movie, folks, and will redeem the prequels for a lot of people.

There's really no saving the first half of I, though

I hated Menace but thought Clones was okay.

The thing about Lucas is that he changed his tune. The first 3 films were meant to be fun movies like the Flash Gordon serials he had seen as a kid, but for adults too.

When the criticism started with Menace and Jar Jar Binks he started flying that line about all the Star Wars flicks being "kids films" and he couldn't understand why the critics didn't understand that.

Do'h wouldn't let me link a pic of Natalie (of course)

So I'll take this post to thank the film gods for letting Coppola make Apocalypse Now & not Lucas.

Thing is, they were also meant to be ruminations on the nature of heroism ala Joseph Campbell, so one would think that he would at least TRY to connect the story arcs, which he kind of does, with Vader's eventual redemption in Jedi...but, as I have said before, he should've just left well enough alone.
