Played for the mets in 1992 and 1993...got 100 RBI in 1993...

and left the Dodgers with emerging perennial-also-ran Eric Karros at first, one of their infamous "I can't believe these guys were actually Rookie Of The Year?" run...

Actually, without the steroids-addled numbers of so many stars, I think Karros would be talked about as one of the better players of the 1990s.

I hate the Dodgers, but I always like EK

Cal Ripken and Eddie Murray.
[and human cannonball Floyd Rayford]

Even though I wasn't here when they won the Series in 83, the days of Cal batting third and the "ED-DIE, ED-DIE" cheers when Murray came up in cleanup were some good days.

Fucking Angelos. Fucking asshole. Woohoo Sammy Sosa. I'm sure another full of strikeouts peppered with some high homerun balls will help offset a pitching staff that couldn't hold its own in Williamsport. Fucking Angelos.

I think he got a bum rap - for some reason, he'd produce in the order (hitting 30+ for 5 straight seasons), yet he was always the one they'd be trying to trade for no particular reason. Same thing happened to Lo Duca (until last year) as well...

Plus, he went to college at UCLA. I don't know why the home crowd never really rallied around him, but he was a very decent ballplayer and helped keep LA afloat for a couple of years after Piazza got traded...

I always thought he was a pretty fiting heir to Garvey as Dodger's 1B. He was always on the block, and I can't believe a team like ATL, who was ALWAYS looking for a true 1B, especially post-Crime Dog, never ponied up to get him. He always seemed like a class act, but maybe he touched children or something....smoked sherm in the dugout? had a problem with black prosties?

Well when you bring up the Braves, we talk about Sid Bream and The Big Cat. It happens.

No, no. If you look closely, that picture is just a sample. The Mets element is artistic license.
