I met up with a buddy of mine over the weekend for the first time since before my B-Day in Nov. Anyway he gets me a sample case from Victory Brewing here in PA for my b-day present..I've had their beers before, and through they were alright, not something I could stand for a while, but not shit..In the sample pack he has a 6er of the Old Horizontal..This shit is kick ass..Barleywine style ale with a 10.5% content..2 of these and it's nighty night..Add some bong hits and it's over..Great stuff for a cold winter's night.

Don't front..Who's drinking out there ??

Are you a big fan of barleywine style ale? If you are you should try Old Ruffian from Great Divide Brewing Company. I also like Young's Old Nick Barleywine, but it doesn't have the alcohol content of what your drinking nor that of the Old Ruffian.

Not that I usually would seek it out, but I'm down to try new shit. I'll keep an eye out.

What the hell is a freshie?
I looked it up and all I got was some obsolete? Canadian form of Kool-Aid
We ignorant hicks in the great plains have no clue about it.

this whole exchange made me laugh very hard

Opening beer #5 after listening to my mom cry for 35 minutes and then vowing to track my cousin down, beat the shit out of him and stab him in the face. Beer 6 to follow soon after.

I keep waiting for the dream where I meet OPA out for a beer, and when he sits on the bar stool it sounds like when you twist bubblewrap.

HELLS YEAH! The Franziskaner is what got me in trouble NYE -- I was squeezing blood orange slices in there instead of lemon (or orange which is what I prefer anyway)

I had a real dry Bulldog Gin Martini, and some fucking FIRE Greek food that Femgar whipped up.
