I work with international college students and every year the org. I work for brings them to different regions around the US to attend a seminar and experience a nice dose of American culture (I was in Tempe). So after a day of programming and functions they all want to go out and dance, we end up at this college town dance club and the music was god awful (vanilla ice?!! and other assorted junk) But, most of them seemed to just love it, it was a bizarre scene.

On a good note, a couple of people did come up and ask me if that was typical american club music, because that is what 12 year olds listen to in their home country (I assured them it was not).

Anyways, I don't really have a point just an observation I made.

Stuff like Vanilla and "Can't Touch This" go a long way with kids my age (born in '81) if you mix a couple drinks in. Sometimes the cheesier the better, I say. One of the more classic nights of my life recently involved otherwise questionable song choices bringing Amon to his left feet for tracks by Journey, Madonna, and G n' R. Anyway.

*Making mental note to bust out with Journey, Madonna and Guns n Roses when Amon comes to visit.*

If you care how crap the music is, you're not drunk/high enough
