It's original and funny, and there are some very good performances. It's not hysterical, but it doesn't fall flat either. Some people think it's pretentious, but I think it's more antipretentious.

I enjoyed it quite a bit but can see why some people don't like it. Schwartzman and Wahlberg are fantastic.

I saw it last night and would say that it's definitely worth a rental. After you have seen Torque, though.

No vote here.... I made it through 3/4ths of it and finally said to hell with it.

Law, Wallburg, Tomlin, Ruppert, and Hoffman were their normal good selves. Shwartzman can't carry a candle to the others. Baaaad actor.

Schwartman and Walburgh were cool on screen together, but the movie, blah....

I liked it - on the rparis74 scale, I give it a 7.7.

just saw it - loved it <snap> wife hated it.

All the acting was great. Wahlberg was my favorite character, his acting, excellent. The plot line was predictable at the intro of the "darker side" but everything unfolded quite nicely. The trick of the movie IMO was at certain scenes one gets caught up in the drama until some sort of absurd humor drops in to bring it back to its order in chaos.

Many times I howled aloud while the wife sat unaffected, especially the "baptism in the marsh" scene. Killin' me.
