Of course.

use these post counts, and then roll dice (or some other randomizer) to see who advances. let's say that the matchup is

obnish A (1400 posts)
obnish B (300 posts)

obnish A should win 82% of the time....in that case you could make 1-5 on a six sided die obnish A and 6 obnish B

in another example,

obnish C (577 posts)
obnish D (300 posts)

obnish C should win 65% of the time. use the die twice (DO NOT ROLL TWO DICE AT THE SAME TIME, IT WEIGHTS THE COMBINATIONS UNEVENLY). roll the die twice....add em up....1-8 = obnish C, 9-12 = obnish D.

God knows why, but I just spent the last half-hour setting up the brackets for our own version of March Madness, with seeds based on post count as of earlier this morning. Ideas for how to advance in the bracket are welcome, but my first thought was to base it on who has the most posts during each round's actual NCAA games. So, during that first Thursday & Friday, if frostingspoon went from 1898 to 1945 (47 posts) while aerodynamics went from 324 to 372 (48 posts) during that same time, aerodynamics would advance in a shocking first-round upset. But that's just one idea.

It would be better to spread the post counting across more than 2 days... Or is two days per round enough?

Whatever the solution, it will probably cause the board to crash.

Or, borrow Spade's Obner Wand of Postulation +3 to calculate the results. He keeps it in his Bag of Holding +2, right next to his Obfuscationist scrolls.

I agree with this one...
(despite my rampant posting so far today - but I'm chalking that up to having more to talk about)...

Yeah, I forgot to label that as the "Play-In Game."

I'm just happy to be here... I had enough trouble winning my apartment conference tournament.

I might have to forfeit... I'll be in Indy rooting for the mighty Illini.

Hey FT....sorry about this man but the play-in game is between 65 and 64....because the winner becomes the 64th team.

That's what I was thinking...there's usually 65 teams in the tourney. So that means I'm NIT bound.

Quality of posts and difficulty of daily schedule was not taken into these rankings.

Otherwise I'd be ranked 1 because I'm like, fucking bitches 24/7.

You know, if I just sat around and complained about how tough my braket was all day, I could be a whiny lil' post-booster too ;)...

Says who? I'm hoping you will post yourself into a higher seed.

I don't think the seeds ever change...at least they don't in College Basketball/golf/football/ect.

I don't conject an upset in my 13 vs. 4. Unless, being transported to the Southeast, my lecherous-mongerous self becomes preoccupied with the pretty young ladies in their dental-floss back thongs, sunning at Panama City Beach, that Bee catches me napping and puts his sting in me.

Even if I somehow get past montythemongoose in the first round, I could come up with a poll or two. I would be dead meat going up against Robotboy, Spinning Plates doesn’t have a chance.

I don't really post much anymore. Maybe a couple of years ago I would have been a contender but now I'm an old man with a gammy posting finger and a bludgeoned mind.

Having said that I'm unemployed from 5.00pm today.
