#1: 'Smooth' by Santana and Rob Thomas. Seriously, this song is on the lite-rock station at work every day and it's the closest a song comes to making me want to put the letter opener through my temple.

#2: 'Fly Away' by Lenny Kravitz. I never hear it anymore but it's a terrible song.

Between these two choices and Devastatin Dave, The Turntable Slave, you are all right in my book.

I'll toss in:

"Nights In White Satin", The Moody Blues
"Breakfast At Tiffanys", Deep Blue Something <--- Heard out at lunch.

Thankfully, his new single "Game of Love" makes up for it. It's written by Gregg Alexander of course!

Yeah, that song pretty much sums up everything that's wrong with Lenny Kravtiz.

How about "All Star" by Smash Mouth? That shit drove me crazy the year it was released.

Note to all wedding DJ's out there........this song is Reception Dancefloor Kryptonite.

Went to this wedding a while back and things were going well, drinks were flowing, the funk was getting people moving, and then he went with this song. You've never seen a room clear so fast. I hate it.

Speaking of weddings, I could probably do without "Brown Eyed Girl" for the rest of my life.

Also quite bad. I guess since I always heard it in association with cartoons and children's shows I didn't think to consider it.

I hate margaritaville for so many reasons. One is that he says "lost shaker of salt" -- I hate it when people twist phrases when writing lyrics to fit the song, when nobody would talk that way. Nobody would say "hey check out these new shakers of salt I bought today" or "can you pass me that shaker of salt" or...well, you get the idea.

I'm nodding in agreement with almost everyone here. Do we have to keep it to two?

I'll say

1. A Thousand Miles by Vanessa Carlton, or Ordinary Day. That voice! I want to just blow her nose for her.

2. Graduate by her beau, Stephan 3rd Eye Blind Jenkins. Another nasal motherfucker!

EDIT... found the time in that other thread.

Thanks matt. I'll try to make it. I got home from CO again this morning and haven't been able to fall asleep.

That drive is murderous.

Hope your show goes well tonight bro but,

THERE AIN'T A GODDAMN THING WRONG WITH THIS SONG. Seriously, the chord progression in the prechorus and chorus melt me. mmm gorganzola.....

Me, Busty Rhodes and Cap N Deez used to play in a band with a guy who told us that no matter what, you can NEVER, EVER play "Brown Eyed Girl" or "Margarittavile" live, EVER.

I've played a 1000 cover's since (shit, Busty has played at least 10,000) but we have always kept our solemn promise. Shawty.

Don't forget it's also the best restaurant of all time as well. I've got the t-shirt on right now.

I knew that. And it actually makes it worse.

True. Worse in a better way. Like it sucks in an awesomely bad way instead of just a mediocre bad one.
