I picked up the new Pavement: Crooked Rain deluxe today. Out of the six music stores in our general area, me and my friend Brian managed to find one copy. Or, rather, I found one copy first and so I bought it and he got screwed over. As we were browsing it over on the bus ride home, we came upon our new band name. For the past while, we've simply been Untitled for reasons oh to obvious. But I looked over the tracklist, pointed out a title, and he seconded the coolness of it so it's partially decided.

What we need a decision upon is which combination of the words we should go with. That's where you come in. Let us hear your suggestions.

If it will sway the vote at all, I would choose between Silence Kit and Silent Kid right now. And I'm leaning toward the former.

Silence, kid. (Period included)

Nothing is cooler than band names which are complete sentences.

Silent Kid is way too emo.

Go with Silent Kit

or Silence, Kid

or Say-It Kit

There is the matter, though, of the Mexican hip-hop/rock outfit, El Gran Silencio. A new band named, simly, "Silencio!", could create confusion amongst the audience of people who see flyers for a show. And, consequently, the concert would be crawling with vatos, their pants risen slightly more than their cars, knives sheathed near their armpits, under their shirts, and Morrissey lyrics running thru their heads.

Callate, pendejo! is nice, though.

Or, even better, Vente en mi boca! (a sort-of double entendre, 'cause it could mean one is drinking a venti latte from Starbucks, or demanding climax in one's mouth).

Well, the old band name was Hey, did you hear about Seymour? He's in a coma! so I think we've grown tired of complete sentences.

having the word silent in your name is just asking the critics to beg you to actually be silent.

Wtf. Where did this come from? The "band" has been broken up for almost a year already.

Remember, it is Friday.
