We have at least 5 registrations (probably 10) from russian users that don't bother to confirm registration, much less post, and some of whom do not even have valid e-mail addresses. What could possibly be the motivation for this? They could be hackers, I guess, but why all from Russia? They all have websites, so maybe it's supposed to be promotional, but it doesn't promote much if you never post.

At the place I work we get a monthly report on who all has been to our website. It's basic info like how many hits, what time of day is the busiest, etc. The thing that always gets me is the south american african and asian hits. I can think of no reason why anyone from Niger would be interested in looking at our whole site.
