This thread is the first I've heard about this, but I think it's a great signing!

He brings a ton of talent and experience. I've felt that we had decent talent at WR already last year. Quinn and Krenzel really made them look worse than they were.

It will be interesting to see how this signing effects our #4 pick. A lot of people were talking Braylon Edwards or Mike Williams, and I don't see that happening now.

incorrect. I am 95% certain they will also draft another wide receiver.

Unbelieveable pickup... especially for 6 years. Now, they have to add another WR and shore up that "O" line.

You obviously haven't watched Grossman play. Either that or you have no football knowledge whatsoever. I'll give you the benefit of the doubt, though.

I can guarantee you I've seen Grossman play in more games than you, considering he went to Florida. I've said it before and I'll say it again, you put yr. hopes on this dude, they will crushed.

Thanks for the benefit of the doubt.

Not coming to the defense of a friend, but I can guarantee you that the Senator forgot more about Football when he passed out last night than you will ever know.

Nuck if you buck. Grossman will be a bust. Oh, and the Bears still suck.

No I don't, but I'm glad to see that you are blindly loyal to a sorry ass team like most big city sports fans....

And yeah, it is nice to have friends........

That's how we roll. Now you re-post after checking the site he posted an mention something about "The Line" "Lack of a running game" or "this guy shared time with Brock Berlin" and we'll all come back to reality. Iffin I was you, I'd be PMing Spade Kitty for some help ;)

What about the site he posted? That proves nothing. He was sat his rookie year, and played the final three games. And then he suffered a season-ending knee injury the third game last year. It has nothing to do with the line or the running game. He just hasn't played much.

The time he has played, however, he's shown great touch on his passes and great poise in the game.

In fact, since you mentioned running game, Thomas Jones was leading the NFC in rushing yards before Grossman went down last year.

great touch a 71.4 qb rating does not make, my friend. Thanks for citing the exact thing sI knew you would. I understand you being a homer for your team. I'm as a big a Cowboy fan as you'll find, but I ain't driving the bandwagon because we signed Bledsoe...nor am I trying to justify Henson's play. It's Rex fucking Grossman. Hell, he was so bad Spurrier left college because of him ;)

seriously dude, you gotta let this shit go.

But where did he finish the year? Dude, you fail to see the weaknesses of your team and it honestly is frightening to me......

I feel sorry for you. Buy me a beer, lets watch a game, and you can tell me the direction that your team is going. Seriously.

I actually thought this thread may be about the actual animal. Which seeing as Chase started it I was curious as to what he'd have to say.

Shit I didn't think you guys would still be talking about the football team this quickly after the season already.

New offensive coordinator, new stud WR... the Bears are headed in the right direction. I'm not a huge fan of Rex either, but he won't lose a game for you. The Bears need to upgrade that O line and they'll contend for a playoff spot.

I'm a homer because I see a lot of potential in Grossman? I'm not writing him into the HOF quite yet, but calling him a bust after a measly six games to judge him on is ridiculous.

Last year was his first as a starter, and he improved every game.

vs. Detroit: 43.4
vs. Green Bay: 74.3
vs. Minnesota: 91.9

Grossman looks more promising than any qb the bears have developed in ten years. I know that's saying hardly anything, but he's not bad and that's good enough for me.

Hopping over to ESPN to read about this Muhsin thing...

I agree with this. I'm cautiously optimistic about this signing.

Now, if we could do something about our O-line because it was about as effective as swiss cheese last season. If they don't fix that then it doesn't matter who the QB or the WR is...
