I suppose this is right, considering the love Jeff Buckley got in the "songs that get you sexxed up" thread. I mean, isn't Soundgarden labelled Jeff Buckley fronting Black Sabbath? I think then that an indie-rock afficionado can dig Cornell without fear of expulsion from the cult.

I had an epiphany one time, as to why i don't like Soundgarden: I Don't like Cornell's voice. Yeah, I'm in the minority, but that's why we bring this type of thing up.

I remember liking the single he had from his solo album several years back. So yea, I like his voice too. Never heard much of Audioslave, but it didn't make me want to stick a sharp stick in my eye.

That solo album Euphoria Morning was pretty good. I haven't listened to it since I bought it, though. Hmmm, where is that cd?

Audioslave is to Cornell's legacy what Muppet's Treasure Island is to Henson. Sure, Billy Connolly/Chris Cornell vamp it up nicely but the initial fun is over after the first heady rush and mediocrity creeps in, not that the cd/movie's not worth owning or nothin'.

It's all about the Louder Than Love, baby.

Love his voice on most stuff. Hate it live. Just horrible.

Loved the solo album too.

Loved Soundgarden.

HATE Audioslave.

'Jesus Christ Pose" is my favorite Chris Cornell vocal performance.

Madmotorfinger was a fantastic album...never cared for most of the rest of his stuff. There's some decent other things, but whenever I wanna hear Soundgarden, that's the one I'm grabbing. Temple of the Dog was OK. I really liked that Hungry song, especially when it's snowing for some reason.

I always thought that "Seasons" from the Singles soundtrack was a great song.

It's Badmotorfinger, by the way.

Louder Than Love is a crucial modern rock/metal "bridge" album the way that Nothing's Shocking and The Mind Is A Terrible Thing To Taste were. It kicks all kindsa shit, too.

I still enjoy Louder Than Love, but he lost me with TOTD and most everything thereafter.
