Looking back on it
I didn't take full advantage of the situation

Grocery store:
• one of every variation of the generic beanie babies we had
(i think i had about 25 total)
• vodka
• saving private ryan (the book)
• jerry seinfeld book
• batteries
• lighters

Hardees:
• one pair of giant inflatable feet

I worked at a fast food restaurant in HS. I often worked register. This was before combo's. I told people that the Med. Soda button didnt work, and I'd give em a cup for a dollar more. I cleared anywhere from 30-90 extra a night :). Made up for the $3.95 I was making an hour.

Nothing ever. Don't crap where you sleep. Now library...other stores...I will neither confirm nor deny that I contributed in any way to Korvette's demise.

I worked at a stereo store. One day I put a nice Technics turntable in the Dumpster, w/ plans to pick it up later.

Of course it was gone when I went to look.

Somewhere, a hobo is turntabling at a club.

i worked in this goofy little bookstore, which now that i think of it didn't have much in the way of books, that was actually in our school. it just sold notebooks, candy, other useless shit. i'd load my backpack up with candy most of the time. this one time some dude came in all hard and was like "i'm stealin this gym bag...what you gonna do about it?". i said, "go ahead, i don't care".

only other places i really stole anything of note from were cvs where i just stole stuff i needed. i also had some scam going where when a customer would buy something over $20, i would purposefully not give them their receipt, then i'd steal the same item and return it to a different cvs.

i stole a shitload of cassette tapes from strawberries which i think is now FYE.

I stole kisses from Marie Richardson, that is when she was in between boyfriends. We worked at the same dry cleaners, so it's not like there was anything TO steal. She was a hot popular girl and wouldn't be caught dead with me in public except as friends, but she loved me in her own way. I think this was because i never judged her and was a good friend, and we'd sat next to each other in orchestra for years and years.

We also had a good bit of fun in college, but then she married her brother in law, who was a total jackass to both of us in high school.

Shit. I worked at one of the big Chicagoland grocery stores and stole pretty often, actually. Not only would I void groceries totally over hundreds of dollars for friends, but also take cash from the accounting room. I wonder how they never caught me. That shit was so stupid as I look back now. Good times though!

I'm still trying to sort this out. So she married him after he divorced her sister?

you're right, i fucked that up. Her older brothers wife's younger brother. So not her brother in law, but i'm not sure what that would be called... Now both couples have a kid or two and those kids share way too much genetic material, even for first cousins.

:splode:

Brother-in-law-in-law

or Brother-in-law by marriage

or just plain brother-in-law (see 2b).

or perhaps "copycats".

So brother and sister married sister and brother, respectively, albeit not in order? You realize that gives the family tree a little bit of an ingrown branch? They best be careful.

NP: Autechre -- it's less confusing

I was a cook at this pizza restaurant, typically 12 hour shifts, from 3-3. After midnight, when most of the other staff left, I cooked myself up some of the greatest pizzas ever made.

Every other job I had was maintenance, so there wasn't much to pilfer.

Hey, don't knock it. Back in the day, my wife sold a number of the more rare Beanie Babies for almost a grand apiece on Ebay.

I worked at Taco Bell, where the manager actually didn't care if we took food, so there was nothing to steal. Plus, I was smart enough to realize that they had a camera aimed at the cash register, so didn't yoink any money.

I worked at a movie theatre, so there wasn't a whole lot to steal. I took a few colored bulbs we used in the old marquee and would raid the lost and found every so often. Other than that all the cool items I had were promo items we were either suppose to give out or inevitably throw away.
