I love this song. However, I was wondering if "you" could tell me what that dominant guitar effect is in this tune and the best way to recreate it? Anyone? I am not that skilled in my knowledge of effects, etc, and I was curious to know how you make that slow pulsating effect. Is it some sort of tremolo or something?

That is indeed tremolo, with a nice amount of reverb.
