Anyone seen it (and if so, did you see it on Imax)? I'm debating whether to spend $8.50 on it since I'm jobless and broke as shit. I've heard mixed things about it...some people said seeing it on Imax makes it look shitty and blurry. Opinions? DumpJack?

It'd be a lot cooler if this was made 30 years ago.

I'll just watch Rock and Roll Circus until this is out on DVD.

The review on Sunday Morning addressed something I've heard elsewhere, which is Mick's rapid-fire autopilot mode. He's been doing this for so long he just sorta rips out the lyrics without thinking about it now, and you could see it in the clips they showed. Like, he's turning into MickBott 2000.

I'm kind of disappointed that you guys would associate me with a Constantines thread.

If I had noticed that you had started the thread, I wouldn't have clicked on it.

Very true... But, hell, they're all aces. Wish there was more of that "Springsteen Rage" on the newest one, or more/better lyrics on "Shower of Stone"...

Ssshh - they haven't yet realized the Constantines suck. It's kind of cute.

If yr a fan, I don't see why you wouldn't go see this. If it was playing around here, I'd check it out.

I'm definitely gonna see this, the soundtrack sounds great and frankly after hearing it pimped relentlessly on the Stones' Sirius channel I can think of nothing else I'd rather see at the moment.

Also the Constantines are one of the worst bands in recent memory.

DumpJack, have you heard "Andrew's Blues" by the Stones? I think it's one of the best songs from their early period, I can't BELIEVE that they recorded it with those lyrics back in 1964.

Yeah, I heard it first on the Unsurpassed Masters Vol. 1 bootleg. Agreed, though a really great early period song. Although I just heard 'Brown Sugar' on the radio and thought to myself for the millionth time how they managed to get away with that.

All that Mick Bott 2000 shit is people who don't understand this band.

Look at the song choices, and the guests, and you will see these guys are just doing their goddamn thing. You know -- THEIR JOBS!?

I think they sound and look great. Nothing earth shattering, but fun as hell. The opening chords to almost every Stones' song instantly puts me in a better mood.

Dig around in this thread

And does the "hive mind" also apply to the OK Computer/Wrens/Pet Sounds worshipping masses (ie: the bulk of the board), or is this just another case of the built-in Obnerd inferiority complex at work?

I saw it in IMAX last weekend with my daughter. I enjoyed it quite a bit.

I forgot about that. I should make some playlists from these mixes.
