yeah. it sounds like a big, busy, noisy, overbearing spectacle, but it isn't bad.

FYI - It's a reissue of their 2006 Orange Twin release.

I can attest to live their live awesomeness. They are also incredibly loud.

Despite the accusations of being a card carrying Hive member, I've been liking this band since the early days of January 07.'

Glad to see the love. They're great.
I vaguely recall checking them out on MySpace 'round mid '07 and liking what I heard but I forgot about them soon after.
Catching them at SXSW was a total fluke; I had gone to Vice Club to see The Raveonettes and Jay Reatard. Both of their shows underwhelmed, but Dark Meat and Fucked Up totally slayed that night.

Dark Meat NEEDS to tour with The Flaming Lips. Totally match the spectacle and trump them in WTF?!-acid casualty factor.

They're coming to a small club in Cleveland soon. I think you guys just convinced me I should go since I was on the fence about it. Although I have no idea where they are going to put everyone on that tiny stage at the Beachland Tavern.

I saw them a year or so ago at The End in Nashville which has a tiny stage. Everyone fit and I'll reiterate, it was REALLY loud. They basically sounded like Flaming Lips circa 1988.

They're ultra-efficient with space. They find ways.

I think I'm the only person around who can't stand them. EVERYONE I know is in this band. Most of the 'auxillary' don't really know how to play the instrument they are holding.

i saw this band tonight. they were pretty good. i was into most of the songs. one person stood on the stairs leading to the stage. this guy just made some noise. the rest of the stage was full. it was the first time i'd ever heard them and would consider seeing them again. not sure how well this'll translate to a record when i'm not watching the spectacle, though.

theyre nuts. i wish i was on acid when i saw them. they played gallery 5 in richmond and a lot of the members were playing in the crowd, walking around everywhere. they had an inflatable shark and a constant stream of confetti and streamers going into the crowd. it was pretty sweet.

Very Royal Trux, Zappa, psychedelic something-or-other. I can't stop playing it.

this band played to about 15 people (not including bands) last night in richmond. it was sad because they are really fucking awesome.

they seemed to have a good time, and they were all incredibly nice. and i take back that acid comment i made a year ago. i don't think i can handle drugs of that caliber in public.
