Is that the 10k through the middle of town? I've always heard that that was a great race. My first half-marathon was something called like the Jefferson Hospital Liberty Bell something something and it was probably the best organized and best course of any that I've done.

It's 10 miles, straight down Broad St, pretty much through the center of the city. It's a fun race. Small rolling hills, gradually downhill the whole way.

THe Liberty Bell race half- was that the Philadelphia Distance Run? I'm pretty sure Jefferson Hospital sponsors that. It's in September.

How did you end up running?

yeah the cubs almost came back to win in the ninth, I think that we dodged a bullet.
The run went ok, but I didn't get back from the Derby until after midnight, so then 6:30 start was a bit of a reach. I had nothing left at the end, so I was happy with just under 2 hours.

Did you mean, just under 4 hours, or were you just running the half?

I guess i might have given the impression that i was toying with running the full marathon, but i think that it's pretty clear that i always intended on doing the half.
