Huh?

My dad was playing this a lot while we were away, and it's definitely grown on me. I should listen to it today, the perfect work-at-home-on-a-blustery-day kind of music.

when people described songs: ohia to me...it was supposed to sound the way you described bon iver above...it didn't sound like that...

It's on my list of albums to give more listens to...first listen impressed me a while back. Actually glad that it's 2008 release so people can give it the attention it deserves...

I just got this today and WHOA this is an absolutely fabulous album. Anyone who hasn't heard this should do themselves a favor and track it down.

I listened to this last night on my Sennheiser's and there's a crap ton of stuff going on that you can't hear on normal speakers. I cannot put into words how much I love this album. Almost perfect.

Yes, it was self-released last year. It was on my Top 20 of 2007.

This will be in the '08 poll? If so it's easily my number one as of now.

burning questions we all need answers to. i'm torn, as i think this was out in '07. but the same argument could be made for MGMT too i guess.

Self released in '07, a label release (Jagjaguwar) in '08, I think.

I remember when you mentioned him in '07 and I've had the download for a while, because I was excited when I was able to buy the Jagjaguwar release.

I actually don't know how he didn't end up on my top 20...

Which is why I want to correct my mistake and make him '08 eligible - my rules. Bam.

Glad you mentioned it.

I hope this guy goes out to the woods again, to record his next album.
