Hey everyone, I'm planning on hitting the Iceland Airwaves festival this October. It sounds like a great time and I hear the price can't be beat.

Has anyone been before, care to share your exp?

I have been to Iceland twice, but never to a show. Believe me, you will have a fantastic time, but it is VERY EXPENSIVE there.

I don't even care about the lineup at this point, I figured that this would be my chance to see some cool native icelandic bands that aren't bjork or sigur ros.

Dude, I'm seriously considering this. I saw the lineup last year and thought it was GREAT! Plus, I've always wanted to go to Iceland, if only to see the aurora borealis.

Per their website, Iceland Airways is gonna announce special travel packages on March 15th. I've already entered the date in my PDA -- so, look out!
