My girlfriend and my dad's birthday are next week so we decided to go see my parents for the weekend and hangout, go to dinner, hit a bar or two, play some euchure competitions.

I was thinking about getting my dad The Sopranons season 2 on dvd as a gift.

I still would like to see Constantine sunday.

I HAVE A 4 DAY WEEKEND!!!!

Uhm...no offense, but that's 'exciting'?

I'm going shopping at Hustler, getting my truck washed, maybe get the oil changed too. Have a birthday brunch for a friend on Sunday. Yeah, my weekend isn't that exciting either.

No offense taken. I'm more excited that I have a long weekend. I also have not seen my parents in a while and usually have fun when I see them. They get along great with my girl which makes the visit even more fun.

I recommend it. My brother, dad and I enjoyed Constantine very much when we saw it a few weeks ago.

Also, Be Cool looks fun, and is the next movie I want to see.

College buddy is in town. Going out tonight.

Friend from drama school (a skinny Polish girl with Scarlett Johannsen's facial structure) is buying me dinner on Saturday for helping her out with American accents... though I guess I wasn't much help. Oh well.

That sounds pretty amazing...

I think it's Xiu Xiu for me tomorrow (Friday) night, Kickball on Sunday, and, although I know of a good party on Sat. night, I probably will opt to stay here and drink alone. I wanted to go see The Mae Shi and Wives on Sun. night, but Simpsons (with guest star Gary Busey) and a full hour of Arrested Development might keep me at home.

It's my M.O., after all...I think there might be something else this weekend, but I'm forgetting it...

I only heard one song from Xiu Xiu and it was pretty strange. Is their album worth checking out?

I may or may not be hitting the town tonight, but I'm waiting on someone getting back to me.

I wish they would hurry up!

Ummmm...going with my wife to see a Tennessee Williams play tonight-Summer And Smoke. Going out for dinner afterwards.

I'll probably watch The Ring at some point this weekend. Never saw it. Wifey doesn't go for that kind of stuff and I'm watching it mostly for Naomi Watts. Other than that, nothing much going on.

Two toddler birthday parties (one Friday and one Saturday) - friends of my daughter

In-laws coming to visit (that's a good thing in my family - rare, I know)

Date night with the wife on Saturday (in-laws watching the kids)

Contemplating new job offer (20% more salary, 7% more bonus, but don't really want to move, may have to just because it's a better career move)

In-laws taking our Shih Tzu with them on Sunday to live with my wife's brother (had to get rid of her, bit one of the kids and has anger issues - we think we may have gotten a Shih Tzu/Lhasa Apso mix rather than a true Shih Tzu)

Church band performance and youth meeting on Sunday evening

Gig's all three nights. Tonight at Green Dolphin, tomorrow in Rock Island at the brewery, and Sun. at Martyrs. It's our last house gig at Martyrs. I'm bummed. Monday is Pulaski day, so it'd be cool to see some chicagobnerians out.

I really wanted to see The Changes tonight.

dumb pollock day.

http://www.eiu.edu/~insight/pulaski/pulaski.htm

If I remember correctly, he basically lead cavalry charges up fortified hills, until he died, but not before many soldiers died with him.

Something like that.

Tonight: Going to gym after work. Chill out/read/rent movie.

Saturday: One of my good friends 30th birthday. 12:15 tee time at Bobby Jones golf course with about 8 people. Begin drinking Bloody Mary's.

Sometime around the turn at 9, begin drinking beer.

Dinner with a large group for his birthday at a local brewhouse/restaurant followed by full on assault of bars/clubs afterwards.

Sunday: shades drawn as I pour soup on myself.
