Good article. I hope she reads it, but I won't hold my breath.

Oh, and isn't this little guy a copywrite infringement on the Bill from Capitol Hill, from schoolhouse rock?

Interesting.

Canada has no obligation to participate in a missile defense program which it does not believe in. However, the PM recently suggesting that the U.S. first consult with Canada before using this defense on an impending missile strike is amusing to say the least.

I would welcome Canada spending more money to improve their national defense. A country that has not been responsible for it's own protection for about a half century can only have a world view that is almost as fucked up as the United States.

The question period found in Canada is something that I as an American am extremely envious of. Can you imagine Bush having to think on his toes like that?

Axworthy's comments on Kyoto are right on target. The U.S. cannot continue to expect the world to roll over whenever it suits our purpose and yet not consider the concerns of the rest of the world. Kyoto IS of importance to most other nations.

America may very well be misguided in how we use our military strength but it is odd to be told that we are doing it all wrong by folks who can barely do it at all. I mean what country other than the U.S. can actually enforce this "responsibility to protect?"

<----Very bored
