If she institutes a tax based on population density, it could be called a per-head fee.

"In the case between Spitz and Swallows, this council refuses to hear any more aural arguments!"

I'd vote for you, but I'm moving to Baltimore, outside your jurisdiction til your powers expand. Good luck!

These races are fun, and usually hinge on bizarre local affiliations/grudges. I smell a smear campaign coming along.

Awww gee, Dave, you know that I would more than love your help. But, for me to think that you'd wanna spend your time working on my campaign to be "for the people and its business community" would be selfish. ;)

Cory's offered to help as well.

As a btw, there's no "smear" campaign to speak of. Although, one of the councilmembers has been going through some trying times with the law (he flashed his council badge trying to get out of some trouble). He's in failing health and hasn't been attending any meetings -- his gig is pretty much up. The other two councilmembers aren't very well-liked and it looks like the citizens are complaining and want them out.

Dave, I do have a question for you, being that you're an expert in all this stuff, just how strong is a person's last name when it comes to voting for a candidate? For instance, I share the same last name as a prominent Congresswoman who has close community ties and is very well-liked. Am I silly to think that people will associate the name and think, "Hey, they share the same last name, Tania's GOTTA be the right choice for me"?
