I say he ain't goin NOWHERE. (Culpepper is smart enough to know how bad his numbers will decline.)

According to Yahoo Sports...

Update: Minnesota and the Raiders have agreed on a trade that would send Moss to Oakland for linebacker Napoleon Harris, the seventh overall pick in this year's draft and a low-round draft pick this year, Moss' agent told the Minneapolis Star Tribune. "It's sort of a bittersweet moment for Randy," said his agent, Dante DiTrapano. "He had seven years in Minnesota, and he loved being a Viking. But, at the same time, this gives him a better chance to win a Super Bowl. The Oakland Raiders have vowed to use Randy like he has been used the past seven years, and that's throw the ball deep."

Recommendation: The deal can't become official until March 2. The Vikings have not commented on the report, so while it looks likely this trade will happen, it's not a sure thing

News
The St. Paul Pioneer Press is reporting that the Vikings will send All-Pro wideout Randy Moss to the Raiders in exchange for linebacker Napolean Harris, the seventh overall pick in the upcoming draft, and another late-round pick. The trade can't be officially made until March 2, but Moss' agent, Dante DiTrapano, informed the paper that the deal is completed. "In speaking with Moss, although he has a lot of ties to Minnesota and did not particularly want to be traded, he's very excited with the possibility of playing for Al Davis and being a part of the Raider tradition," DiTrapano said. "The Raiders have vowed to use Randy's talents the way they should be used, and that's to throw the ball vertically down the field. Randy's desire to win a Super Bowl is enhanced with a move to a team like the Raiders, because the Minnesota Vikings seem to be in a constant rebuilding mode." The Raiders will take on Moss' $7.25 million base salary for next season, a move which will save Minnesota nearly $2 million in cap space. The Vikings also have the 18th pick in this year's draft

Wow, Minnesota will now have been involved in the TWO WORST TRADES in NFL HISTORY.

First, the Herschel Walker trade
Second, the Randy Moss trade

I'd do it for no less than 5 players, one or two of whom better get me 1500 yds and 15 tds a season.

<=====Favorite player is Randy Moss.

This was my reaction. Better chance = Oakland??? Hmmm, leave the NFC Central after Favre retires. Hmmm, leave the NFC period. Granted the AFC West is the weakest of their divisions, but no one from that coast gets past Indy, New England, or Pittsburgh.

Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha. The receivers ain't the problem in Oakland, and Moss can't help whomever ends up chucking the ball there.

Edit: I don't think this is bad for Minnesota. Moss is a bad egg, lousy for team chemistry, and PR liability. The crap he pulled at the end of the Skins game is inexcusable. He'll raise the likeability of both teams.

i wonder if fowler has veto power over this move, or if he'd want it.

I think that whole Super Bowl comment is standard PR flack. Moss can help whose chucking the ball by being Moss. Remember Alsy-Walsy is a big fan of "The Vertical Offense" and I don't know who gets more vertical than Randy. I also think the team chemistry factor is far overrated. Many of them said that the media concentrating on Randy helped them keep their heads in the game. I'm not saying he's going to carry Oakland to the Super Bowl, but I can guarantee the Vikes slip pretty hard without him.

This should make beating the ViQueens easier in the Dome...

I am glad to see him go to Oakland, which is and has been the pasture of the NFL. Randy should get along great with Warren Sapp. )

I was wrong about him leaving, but Yail Bloor's favorite columnist Skip Bayless agrees with my assessment of the trade.

I think he evolved from a pretty good skater/scorer to a just a fucking bruiser. They need an enforcer ala Domi?
