Yeah, this is part of the problem Charlie, what music talk. You never say anything. You really like the electric guitar that floats in and out. What exactly do you like about it, is this on every song? You never say anything. Sorry, you do say one thing a lot.

I'm at work, listening to music, while I'm doing analysis. I can provide a little feedback on what I like and don't like. At the rate I listen to music, I'd have to be unemployed to contribute anything substantial to each mix or album during the day.

Then maybe you should refrain from using hyperbole, when you clearly don't have the time to give a clear informed opinion.

I listened once and it had an extreme enough impression on me to know that I'd never need to hear it again.

I could've probably guessed that NMH would start up some sort of shit. But this is beyond.

Let's get back to sharing nice now, people...

Funny thing Todd, I don't like NMH as much as I used to and don't know who to blame. Or whom.

I think maybe the dadrock in me is taking hold over the howly mumbly rock.

Though howly mumbly is turning into dadrock in some corners.

Anyway, back to music talk. I had no idea that toots was in Brazil, so I put that on and I really liked it, quite a lot actually. It paired well with data analysis. So I'll check out toots' own tenner from his band and then check out a whole album.

really? thats awesome...i am glad you gave it a listen....

depends on how many christian rock bands TheTheory can put up in there

I got a few more I was contemplating... ;-)

mcaputo's Bill Nelson is not what I typically listen to, but I liked quite a few of the songs, particularly 'Revolt into Style' and 'For Young Moderns' from Sound on Sound. It's another album I'd like to hear in full. Oh yeah, I also like electric guitars.

I actually downloaded the Faust today, but haven't listened to it yet. Perhaps we can spar about this tomorrow?

Gracias for the Molina. He's one of those guys that I have one or two albums by, and everytime I listen to one, I think to myself, "why do i not own everything this guy has done?"

I'm fully expecting you to hate it so I'm going to have a hard time mustering up any anger over your (likely) derisive comments.

It'll probably hurt you more than it will me.

Yeah, he's somebody I think a lot more Obners would like, especially the big Neil Young fans.

Thought about it, but figured no guru would be the only one who DL's it. And he'd probably know most of the songs.

That Mouse On Mars is stellar. I almost agree with you on them being the best electronic act of the past decade. I probably would have picked a couple of different tracks, but the one's you chose definitely gave a great overview of the various styles they've approached over the years.

Pretty much the same thought's on the Molina, though I would have loved to see something from Amalgamated Sons of Rest (as Oldham and Molina on the same record was an absolute dream come true), but again, great snapshot of the various approaches he has taken over the years. I've never understand why this guy isn't huge, or why some of his solo efforts got mediocre reviews, but then again I don't listen to a lot of stuff like this so maybe there's something I don't hear.

If they'd never been marketed in Christian media, they'd have garnered quite a bit of broader respect. But hindsight doesn't get the young record contracts.

lame reasoning. ;-) I made half of my mixes figuring no one would download... or if they did, would hate it. I just like making mixes. Tis fun business.

Actually, I would enjoy a 77's mix, as I have only heard one EP from them.
