1) Signing Kurt Warner
2) [url=http://www.azcentral.com/arizonarepublic/sports/articles/0305cards0305.html#]This

Jesus. A laptop??

Who the hell is Larry Lee Ned?

I guess some idiots can't get out of their own way when it comes to opportunity.

Well, the Cardinals will always have Rod Tidwell to hang their hat on.

Damn! I was really hoping that Warner would end up in Chicago so I could clown the Bears fans on the board some more.

Arizona still has a franchise?

Let's not forget the new meaner, tougher Cardinals logo

From Bill Bidwell:
"A tough bird," team owner Bill Bidwill said. "Hopefully it will be worn by tougher and faster and meaner players." [Bidwell made no mentions of his intentions to pay such faster and meaner players.]

From QB Josh McCown:
"The only birds I know about are the duck and the dove and the quail, birds that you shoot," the Cardinals quarterback said. "You're not really supposed to shoot cardinals. I don't know if I'd shoot this bird. It looks pretty mean. This bird might pull a gun out and shoot right back at you."

They should've gone with a Clay Smith "Mr. Horsepower" motif...

I've always considered this to be the scariest looking Cardinal:

actually i call the start of the lewis era the beginning of the climb, and we're slightly better than average at the moment, which for the bengals is a huge accomplishment. there's just so much history to offset of late...

hey, have faith that it CAN turn around. This coming from a lifelong Falcons fan where the cupboard has been dry much more often than not.

Even though the perception and fact that we're pretty good now still doesn't erase the fact that we STILL have never had back to back winning seasons in the HISTORY of the franchise.

Should happen this year though.

As an aside, I'm liking this Coles for Moss swap that the Skins pulled off.

I'm still trying to find the logic behind this one. Advantage: Skins.

I think the Jets got the better of the deal. Moss has too many size/injury problems. We'll truly be able to tell once the Skins give Moss a contract extension.

Coles was vocally unhappy with Gibbs' approach to the offense. Both Coles and Moss are great receivers, but the return capabilities gives Moss the edge, IMO.

I think Moss' value is underrated at this point, due to Pennington's injury last year. I also think the Skins' passing game is underrated, given Jansen's injury last year. The O-line should be a ton stronger this year, which'll give Ramsay a pocket in which to work.

Absolutely. Not to mention his own injured hammy that plagued him throughout the season. I think he's much more versatile (yeah, I know he's more of a utility player) and resilient than Coles* - those two brilliant seasons with the Jets is the puddin'.

Believe me, we're surprised too.

They're so good we're building them a brand new, state of the art stadium, too. The thing's friggin' amazing - the field actually moves out of the stadium so the grass doesn't get trampled and abused for other events like monster truck/motocross racing. I mean, look at this thing. Are the Cardinals really worth this amazing piece of architecture?!

Los Angeles thanks you. You had us scared there for a bit.

I think that Coles is a legit #1 receiver where i feel that Moss is a great #2 type receiver.

Fair enough, but Washington is also scrambling to salvage whatever it can of the mess they've made of their salary cap situation. Unloading Coles and not losing a whole lot of talent in the deal will help them.

I think the inability to sign Antonio Pierce had a lot to do with finalizing this deal.

A lot of this depends on the type of money they give Moss on the extension they're planning. If they give him crazy #1 money the skins may be even worse off in the long + short term.
