Right now I'm going around with "Come Out" by Steve Reich in my head. Which, as such, means that "come out to show them, come out to show them, come out to show them" keeps running as a loop in my head. Also, it is an awkward kind of song to get caught singing under your breath. Nothing like muttering "come out to show them" over and over to make people look at you oddly.

(Those who feel out of the loop regarding this song should probably download my Steve Reich tenner. It might just change your life. At the least it'll get you in the "in-club" regarding this post.)

I'd say an awkward one would be Date Rape by Sublime.

Just randomly being caught singing, "if it wasn't for date rape, I'd never get laid" can breed some interesting looks.

September -- Earth, Wind & Fire

I have no idea why it's in my head. It's not like I've heard it recently, but am thinking because September is soon upon us.

"The Cunts" by Falstaff

Oh the Cunts...
Are taking over
Oh, the Cunts are on the land
Oh the Cunts...
are taking over
Take a Cunt
Out by the hand

The rich just get richer
And the poor just get fucked
In the ass on the sidewalk on a cold and rainy night
With their knees torn open bleeding
And their mouths all open wide...

The Cunts!!!

Old story...

Ludacris' "What's Your Fantasy" sung by me (chubby white Vermont girl) in the adult diaper aisle of a drug store. I didn't know there was an elderly lady in my presence. She did not look impressed.

I put an unlabeled burned cd into my car stereo, and since then "The Thong Song" has been on permanent loop in my brain.

Great thread idea.

About 2 years ago over christmas holidays my man and I had "Dick in a Box" stuck in our heads---we couldn't stop singing it.

But then of course we found ourselves traveling, visting family, cluding his young nephews and figured we should probably tone it down a bit. heh heh.

Another one: Laura Barrett (kalimba-playing Toronto girl) covering Weird Al's "Smells like Nirvana". Surprizingly catchy. So you're hearing kalimba in your head and then randomly singing "a garage band from Seattle/ Well it sure beats raising cattle, yah".

PS - I'm digging all the Steve Reich love around here. I've been pretty obsessed with him lately (if the last 2 years counts as 'lately').
