Is there a reason why you can't copy and paste the list from those that have NOT PM'd you? I mean, seriously dude, this was your idea -- you can do what you want.

He wants to ensure that the lists have the submitter's final approval, otherwise he'll get a hundred PMs begging him to change #99 to the #93 spot or some other such bullshit. Can't say I blame him at all.

So we've decided I should just take the lists that are available of the 16 people listed above should they not submit one by the deadline?

Or should I just disregard them as not being interested in contributing to the overall obner list?

I'd wait til after the deadline to copy and paste those lists. You don't want any last minute changes.

But yeah, I'd say if people made a list, it should be included.

Bingo. And that's what I was just asking all of you.

Should I do that if they don't submit once the deadline's passed? Or should I just ignore their lists?

You set the rules. If that's what your rule is...that makes it the 11th Commandment. Burn your bush and move on.

With a little over a day left:

2439 different albums on the list

23-way tie for last place between such luminaries as ABBA, Bob Dylan, Iron Maiden, Jewel, Minor Threat, Frank Sinatra, and Stone Temple Pilots

5 points separating the #1 and #2 entries

295 points separating the #2 and #3 entries

and the current #101 is Modest Mouse's Lonesome Crowded West which would require a 4-point bump to make it into the top 100

If it was me, I'd PM them on the deadline and say that they have 24 hours to get a list to you, or you will take the list from their thread. (or ignore the list all together, depending on your druthers... though it seems a shame for them to have gone to all that work and it not be included.) But that is just me. You do what you want.

I didn't PM a list because I have zero interest in a board-wide list.

More than anything, this whole process has made me lose respect for more people than the other way 'round.

i already knew the whole "Hive" crew (can't believe I'm using this stupid fucking term) knows jack shit about modern music (tho for the older stuff i associate more with these dudes than anyone else), but there have been some fucking gems unearthed. Also funny to see how many fuckwits have posted calculated douchebag lists with the sole intent of getting their pussies licked by their clique.

This is what turned me off of completing my list. I got about 60 slots into my list and then stopped because the whole thing became sickening, annoying, stupid (I would say the biggest influence on most of your list are other people's lists, except for the couple of you that posted right away), and let's face it: pointless. I like different albums more or less depending on my mood and it seems ridiculous to try to decide whether one should come in at #54 or #55.

It is totally and utterly ridiculous, although that isn't much of an argument against it. Let's face it, it's not like you're getting the list tattooed on your back - it's just a post on a message board with zero consequences.

Typical BS here DDR.

Just fucking throw something together, Tough Guy.

Mine at least consists of close to the 100 albums I like the best, and Im really not sure how I would reorder it given my druthers.
