I tried to find a link to this, but couldn't. It was in the SF Chronicle this morning.

Apparently, by going to www.live-shot.com, you can kill something on this guy's ranch by clicking on your mouse. "Under John Lockwood's plan, the hunter would aim and fire a .30-06 rifle by remote control from a computer terminal anywhere in the world, with a video camera allowing him to sight in on his prey. An attendant in the blind with the rifle could override any safe or unethical shots."

I can't believe it- it's like something that would be in The Onion.

fp

WTF- the link doesn't work. I cut & pasted... hmmm. http://www.live-shot.com/

I've heard about this. For an extra fee they'll butcher the animal you shot and send you the meat.

Well, I guess it's want-not, waste-not time for millions of people who like the excitement of hunting and killing things without moving away from the screen...

Or, as I call them, GTA enthusiasts.

Don't hate the playa, hate the game...

Now if I could only send them something to then shoot from the comfort of my living room and then have them send it back.

No shit: My grandfather shot a deer from a chair next to the window while he was recovering from a broken ankle and couldn't hunt. He had to wait for someone to come home to go and tag it.

This shit ain't expensive, I might do it.
