Just last week, within an hour of each other, I received these two emails from two different folks. They don't know each other, and just decided to email me with these comments.

The first was from a friend who has just become a father within the last couple of months:

I was listening to 'cary's here' the other day....and then this morning I got to stand over (my infant son's) crib as he slept for the first time (he's sick so he sleeps more soundly)...and I've just been playing that song in my head all day...
I saw that song with a whole new light
loved it
thanks

************

The other was from a friend here at work:

just wanted to say that you are a wonderful songwriter.
I have "Cary's Here" in my iTunes shuffle; haven't heard it in a while.
It took me by surprise - hit me hard emotionally - as simply beautiful.
Thank you.

************

These notes totally took me by surprise and confirmed that I should keep on.
Within an hour of each other.
It made me feel good.
So, I wanted to share.

Thanks for letting me.

Hell, I didn't even include that song on my ego-trip tenner!
And, I think that my street teaming days are long over, more than 4 years post-release.

Sometime I just want to dream about hugging. Or to be hugged. That it is all the world needs, after all.... just a hug for everybody.
I love you all.

Okay, you believe that it's me now?
Have I sufficiently proven my brain damage?

Cary's Here should be the theme song for Dateline's To Catch A Predator.

At least you're more subtle with me than you are with Matt.
Or is that a bad thing?

Well, that's because deep down inside, I actually like you and care what happens to you. Matt can be torn apart by a bunch of kimoto dragons for all I care.

I always thought they should use Billy Idol's Rock the Cradle of Love.

So much for the feel-good part of this thread.
I suppose that I should have counted on this.
